Hola, normalmente realplayer no es necesario en linux. Los formatos de vídeo de real player son reproducidos sin problemas por las aplicaciones más habituales como VLC, Totem, y mplayer y los codecs propietarios, que hasta donde yo he probado en Guadalinex vienen instalados, además según decían en su web vienen instalados por defecto.
No tengo aquí a mano Guadalinex. Si el paquete mozzplugger y gnome-mplayer están instalados por defecto -son bastante habituales-, entonces puedes hacer que reproduzca configurando un archivo.
Si lo tienes instalado es tan sencillo como poner un archivo en la carpeta de usuario. Para eso no necesitas ser administrador. Convenientemente configurado.
Se coloca en /carpetadeusuario/.mozilla/ y el archivo es mozzpluggerrc (archivo de texto plano)
Es difícil de "saber" qué narices hay que tocar en ese archivo. El contenido de mi archivo -que siempre me ha funcionado en Debian y Ubuntu y debería funcionar, por tanto, en Guadalinex sin realplayer- es :

Puedes probarlo con el CD o DVD de Guadalinex. Si funciona, entonces funcionará en los portátiles. A mí me funciona sin realplayer y reproduce incrustado con "gnome-mplayer". Pruébalo con un CD de Guadalinex, si te funciona tienes ahí la solución sin clave de administrador.
